KNA Encounters: sketchbook workshops beyond the studio
KNA is now offering site-specific, community-building workshops to give North Shore locals a tangible and creative way to reconnect with our surroundings: welcome to KNA Encounters, where we leave the studio and create works and relationships in context!

The current KNA Encounter workshop being offered is a pilot sketchbook excursion to Rafes Chasm in Gloucester, MA. Participants in this KNA Encounter will spend three hours with myself and a small group of other participants in Rafes Chasm, asking questions about our relationship to where we are and how to creatively engage with the site together. Participants will receive guided group reflection time, materials and instruction to make a small sketchbook, and time to freely engage with each other and the site through the use of our handmade sketchbooks and reflections.

In the future, KNA Encounters will offer workshop excursions "In Nature," "In Architecture," and "With Artworks," to bring groups to a variety of sites in the Boston/North Shore area, expanding our tangible creative relationships to explore buildings, museums, parks, and other sites that play a significant role in the life of the North Shore.
Rafe's Chasm Sketchbook Workshop
When: Saturday 9/14, 1-4pm (rain date is 9/21)

Cost: $85 per person. Payment accommodations are available to make this affordable and accessible to everyone!
Included in cost: $50/person to cover KNA's time, expertise, and workshop prep + $35/person to cover cost of materials and sketchbook instruction
